Our Italian Classes
Our classes are very interactive and you will learn to speak quickly.
Italian is one of the easier languages to learn and there are three levels of learning. Some of our students have been coming for a number of years as they love the language, made new friendships and are looking forward to travelling abroad in the future.
Classes are held Thursday evenings during the normal school terms.

Beginner Italian
Perfect if you’re starting from scratch
This level is for complete beginners or those with very basic knowledge of Italian.
You’ll learn essential vocabulary, pronunciation, basic grammar, and simple conversations to help you start speaking from day one.
Intermediate Italian
Perfect if you’re starting from scratch
Build confidence and conversation skills.
Designed for students who already know basic Italian and want to expand their vocabulary, improve grammar, and speak more fluently.
Advanced Intermediate
Perfect if you’re starting from scratch
Refine fluency and deepen understanding.
Advanced classes focus on confident conversation, more complex grammar, and cultural discussion. Ideal for learners who want to express themselves naturally and comfortably in Italian.
About Anna
Speak Italian is run by Anna, a passionate Italian teacher who brings language and culture together in every class. Born in New Zealand from Italian parents, she has always been proud of her Italian heritage and love being able to share her culture and knowledge with her students.
With a warm, approachable teaching style, Anna creates a supportive space where students feel comfortable learning, making mistakes, and growing in confidence.
Her classes go beyond vocabulary, they connect language with food, travel, culture, and real Italian life.
